When construction companies, freight companies and other kinds of businesses need to buy cranes and derricks, they go to crane wholesalers, crane dealers and crane distributors to get them. Many crane wholesalers sell smaller telescopic cranes and loader cranes that individuals and smaller companies use to load things as well as to do other jobs and chores. Some crane wholesalers specialize in selling gantry cranes to companies that operate docks or companies that operate rail yards. There are also crane wholesalers that specialize in selling tower cranes to large construction companies and construction contractors. In some quarters, cranes are called derricks and crane wholesalers are derrick wholesalers. In other areas, derricks are large structures used in projects like off-shore oil drilling. When companies need to buy derricks, they go to derrick wholesalers, derrick dealers or derrick distributors.
